Pronounced “with you”, this fictional toy line invites the consumer to create their own stories with their new collectible friends. Both the boxes and white clothes of the figurines leave plenty of space for expression, and the figurines themselves are modeled to be neutrally affable, so the consumer can implant their own story or personality onto them.

"When does shopping become an art?"
As collecting has become a more common hobby for Gen-Z, I’ve noticed that each consumer will curate their own collection and use these objects (figurines, plushies, etc.) as a form of self expression, which led me to ask the question, "when does shopping become an art?"
My answer ended up being: "when the consumer critically and creatively engages with the collecting process." This answer can be very broad, and can include those who search for incredibly rare items or good deals, but for my project I emphasized how a consumer might take pre-designed characters with little lore or backstory and attach their own narrative to those pieces. Thus, I wanted to design simple characters who were appealing but straightforward--a blank slate for the consumer to tell my own narratives.

There is ample white space on both the companions’ clothing and the packaging to allow for ample personalization.

An accompanying animation to advertise the toys. As the Red Panda comes to life and bounds forward to meet you, you’re inviting to return the favor by entering his domain as well.
