He has a tiring day full of trials and tribulations—missing the bus, dropping his ice cream, almost being late to class—but in the end, he still finds time to relax and is home just in time to start his homework, so he can be ready for the routine to start over again tomorrow

After the photos have been edited in Lightroom, they are brought into Blender as image planes. The rigged model is then posed in orthographic view. The facial expressions may be changed through editing the textures, and the lighting can be shifted by rotating the HDRI.

This self-portrait explores adults’ predisposition towards dissociation and maladaptive daydreaming.
The illustration features a stylized drawing of myself, reaching towards a shelf. That shelf, from the backs of which the viewer watches on, houses miniature dolls in my image. The two in the front sit idly as dolls should, waiting for the larger figure to interact first, but the two in the back are more proactive, peeking out from behind the toy boxes on either side to greet their visitor. The background figure’s hazy, distant gaze captures her dissociation from daily life and her desire to reach back for happier times (the dolls that she’s fixated on).
This relationship isn’t one-sided, however; the dolls in the back return her gaze, peeking out from their hiding spot to regard her with wonder. Where she yearns for their charming, pleasing stories, they are fascinated by the minutiae of her everyday life. That reciprocation suggests a magic in our mundane lives that we’ve lost sight of – perhaps one that a younger version of ourselves had dreamed of long ago.
